Karan Gill, director of business development at Bigfoot Web, talks with us about how MoonClerk is helping him move his business model to be based 100% on recurring revenue.
Can you tell us a little about what your business does?
Bigfoot Web creates beautiful, affordable websites for small and mid-size businesses in all industries. We’ve also designed websites specifically for dentists, orthodontists, and restaurants and offer them on a subscription basis for a monthly fee.
What are your day-to-day responsibilities?
As director of business development, it’s my role to tend to all our client and partner relationships, keep business running smoothly, and most importantly ensure we’re delivering great results for our clients.
How did your Bigfoot Web get its start?
Bigfoot Web was founded by Keith Roberts as a subsidiary of Zenman. We exist to bring 18 years of experience working with big names like The Lumineers and Frontier Airlines to businesses of all sizes in all industries.
How did you get started with the company?
I joined the team after having hired Zenman for a project at my previous company. I loved the team and culture so much that I jumped at the chance to help launch Bigfoot Web as a sister agency.
What have been some key factors in your business’s growth?
For us it’s come down to using the best technology and sticking to our process. With the right tools, a great team, and a disciplined and repeatable process, we create great results consistently and at scale.
What do you use MoonClerk for?
We use MoonClerk to handle billing for all our “website as a service” clients.
What made you decide to use MoonClerk?
We know how hard it is to design software that “just works”. We saw that MoonClerk had created a great subscription billing service that had all the features we needed and none that we didn’t, in a thoughtfully designed app. For our business model, it’s exactly the tool we needed to do the job.
What was your experience when switching and getting started with MoonClerk?
Very easy. We love the simplicity of admin interface and the iFrame embed.

MoonClerk has helped us grow our recurring revenue to 25% of our overall business and helped us chart a course to a 100% recurring revenue business model in the near future.
