Aprille Franks, business coach and founder of Coach, Speak & Serve, talks with us about how she grew the revenue for her new brand by $140,000 using MoonClerk to process her payments.
Can you tell us a little about your business?
Coach, Speak & Serve informs, trains and certifies purpose driven entrepreneurs in the coaching, speaking and author space through laser-focused content strategies, programs, and live events.
How did you get your start?
It’s kind of a funny story. As I was developing my women’s empowerment brand after publishing my first book in 2011, I’d get requests from people to speak to or train their groups on brand and social media platform building. I’d say, “I don’t do that…” But in actuality I was already doing it for my own business. So after potential clients sought me out numerous times, I understood how much of a need there was in our industry. So, I created a system that people can duplicate for success own success.
What have been some key factors in growing your business?
Providing relevant, focused and consistent content to our audience of entrepreneurs has been vital. With a strong social media presence we know for a fact that we’ve shortened our curve by decades to reach the individuals across the world that we’ve been able too.
What do you use MoonClerk for?
We initially started using MoonClerk because we needed a solution that worked for our recurring programs and FAST. As a training and development company for coaches, speakers, and authors, we have courses that run from one-time payments up to 12 months. We need an easy way to have our clients sign up and pay.
Before MoonClerk, did you use another payment system?
Yes. What was missing was a) the ability to create links/pages/embeds and b) the ability to allow our clients to manage their payments with updates and such. MoonClerk helps us reduce the support on our side for credit card declines and changes that our clients may have during the course of their payment structure.
What made you decide to use MoonClerk?
I literally did a Google search for recurring payment processors and MoonClerk popped up – the home page says, “You’re just 5 minutes from accepting recurring and one-time payments…” I was sold as 5 minutes was all I had!
What was your experience when switching and getting started with MoonClerk?
Great! MoonClerk is easy to navigate and simple to use – I’m looking forward to maximizing all of its functionality.
What do you like about MoonClerk?
Simple – it’s easy and it works just as promised. I appreciate that my clients can manage their own accounts – that’s great. Again, the fact that we don’t have to manage customer service around that portion of our business is really huge for us. I also like the built-in, automatic reminders to our clients that let them know when they are going to be charged on a specific date. We’ve never had an issue with MoonClerk!
How has MoonClerk improved or helped your business?
When we first signed up for MoonClerk, we needed a solution for a first-time product launch. To-date, we’ve processed over $140,000 through 145 payments in MoonClerk– that’s a big deal for a new brand.
Any advice for others who are in similar industries?
My advice for other coaches who have programs for their clients would be to just use MoonClerk. Even if you have some other payment method, there are likely ways to compliment what you already have.
