Can you tell us a little about Wake up with Leads?
Wake with up Leads teaches and consults with business owners, freelancers, salespeople, and entrepreneurs on how to get more client meetings.
What are your day-to-day responsibilities?
Day-to-day I work as a consultant for companies to help implement outbound marketing efforts and sales automation solutions – mostly, cold email campaigns and building out sales funnels.
How did you get started?
In a nutshell, I started as a sales guy at a few startups and learned how to prospect, write emails, and build marketing and sales automation systems. I wanted to work for myself and knew I did not work well in really large organizations.
What have been some key factors in you business’ growth?
Choosing the right clients has been the biggest factor. I used to follow the easy money but now I only work with clients I like.
What do you use MoonClerk for?
I use MoonClerk to make sure my monthly retainers get paid on time. No more chasing down Freshbook invoices.
Before MoonClerk, did you use another payment system?
I used Freshbooks and PayPal. They were not bad technologies; they just did not work the way I needed to get paid. Chasing money costs way too much time (and money). When you chase money, it’s hard to concentrate on work and pay bills.
What made you decide to use MoonClerk?
I was trying to collect money with a particular payment gateway and it almost prevented me from closing a sale because I could not move fast enough to create a simple recurring payment invoice.
