Why Fratelli Pietri Uses MoonClerk To Power Tiered Payments For Their Porsche Driving Experiences

Gianpaolo Pietri talks with us about what made him choose MoonClerk to power the tiered payment structure he uses to grow his business, Fratelli Pietri.

Can you tell us a little about Fratelli Pietri?

At Fratelli Pietri, we describe what we do as ‘old world touring for modern Porsche enthusiasts. Simply put, our family has had a 65-year relationship across three generations with the Porsche brand, which just celebrated its 75th anniversary. We leverage our Porsche lineage, as well as our knowledge of the cars and the performance driving lifestyle to create unforgettable driving experiences for other Porsche owners from around the world. 

What are your day-to-day responsibilities?

As CEO and Creative Director, I manage day to day operations, but I am also responsible for the overall brand identity and marketing strategy. I ensure our team stays true to our values and we meet our clients’ every need. Oh, and I attend a lot of Porsche inspired events, which is an added perk, I’ll admit. That said, I’ve been known to dig into the details and do things like create our custom MoonClerk payment forms. My twin brother and co-founder runs our Guest Concierge Services and Content Production teams and manages all of our social accounts.

How did your Fratelli Pietri get started?

My background is in architecture and screenwriting, so this was something new professionally, but my twin brother, my father and I have over 60 years of experience between us driving Porsches in Europe. It’s just something we always did as a family growing up. After a brief hiatus, we finally organized a trip last October to Germany, Switzerland, and Italy with a few of our new Porsche owning friends. After seeing the sense of camaraderie forged among strangers bonding for the first time on the open road, we knew this was something special that needed to be shared with other Porschephiles, and that we had the expertise to bring a unique perspective to the Porsche community.  

What have been some key factors in growing your business?

One thing that has helped our growth immensely is creating a seamless signup and payment experience for our guests by integrating platforms like MoonClerk, Stripe, Mailchimp, etc. Our payment structure is unique because of the nature of the business. So, it helps to be able to customize the experience for them in an easy-to-use way. Working with brands like MoonClerk demonstrates to our clients that we are doing everything we can to meet their needs and that their money is secure.  No other payment platform offered the same capability and ease of use that fit our specific needs.   


What do you use MoonClerk for?

We use Moonclerk in conjunction with Stripe, for the creation, design, and deployment of all our custom payment forms. There’s probably so much more for me to learn about MoonClerk’s capabilities and I’m excited for that process to continue. 


What problems did you have with other payment systems?

This is our first time working with a payment system like MoonClerk. I was working with another system briefly but found their interface limiting. With MooonClerk, I was able to achieve the exact look and feel I wanted in my payment forms. My transition to MoonClerk was based on design customization and ease-of-use. 

What made you finally decide to use MoonClerk? 

A couple of highly successful brands I trust and admire were using MoonClerk. As I researched MoonClerk further, it became clear why. Simple as that. 

 What was your experience when getting started with MoonClerk?

I am architect and designer by trade, so I’m not the most well versed with some of the more technical aspects of a payment systems. But, even as someone new to the space, I found I was able to achieve my primary goal - to create custom payment forms and a seamless payment process for my guests - with relative ease.  

What specific feature do you like most about MoonClerk?

I like how easy it is to design and deploy a custom payment form that I can easily integrate into my website. I don’t need a programmer to do it. I literally do it myself. 

How has MoonClerk improved your business?

We operate using a tiered payment structure, where guests pay over multiple payments at different stages prior to a rallye driving experience. Shopify required clunky, hard-to-use third-party apps in beta to achieve this. I may not know every vendor out there, but MoonClerk was literally the only one I found that could accommodate my specific needs. Quickbooks wouldn’t allow us to use their payment system because of the nature of our tiered fee structure, so MoonClerk is what has allowed us to operate the way we do.   

Would you recommend MoonClerk to others?

Absolutely. MoonClerk has been worth every penny.  

Is there anything else you’d like to add?

Honestly, my goal is simply to make sure I am maximizing the potential of this incredibly powerful tool to optimize how clients sign up for the adventure of a lifetime. So, I am still learning new tools and features every day and wish I had just a little more time to continue to deep dive into all of the features available.
