New Feature: Two-Factor Authentication For More Secure Sign-Ins

In order to provide better security for your MoonClerk account, we’ve just launched the ability for you to add two-factor authentication to your MoonClerk sign-in credentials. 

Two-factor authentication, or “2FA”, is an extra layer of security on top of your password to make it more difficult for others to gain access to your account. If you have 2FA nabled, once you enter your email and password, you will be asked to enter an additional one-time, time-sensitive code. MoonClerk provides you this additional code through one of two methods that you can choose from.

  • SMS Text Message – When you enable 2FA, you can choose the SMS text message option and we will send the code to your phone by text.
  • Authenticator App – When you enable 2FA, you can choose the authenticator app option. You can choose which authenticator app you’d like to use. An authenticator app is an app you download on your smartphone. Some of the most popular are Google Authenticator, Authy, LastPass Authenticator, and Microsoft Authenticator. When you have connected your authenticator app to MoonClerk you’ll see the code in the app.

Re-used and weak passwords are a leading cause of security breeches online. Adding two-factor authentication to your MoonClerk sign-in credentials can provide an extra layer of security for your account.
